After completing this course you will be able to:
- Give instructions to students to enable them to create images in the style of some of the greatest modern artists.
- Relate aspects of yourself and your surrounding environment to the world of art.
- Recognize the use of some of the basic techniques used by artists in their creations.
- Critique works of art.
Teaching Standards met in this course are:
- Establishing and articulating goals for student learning.
- Developing and sequencing instructional activities and materials for student learning.
- Involving and guiding all students in accessing their own learning.
- Using materials, resources and technologies to make subject matter accessible to students.
The following artists will be featured:
- Grant Wood, Paul Klee, Mary Cassatt, Sonja & Robert Delauney, and Eric Carle.
You will need to view works by these artists either on the web or in print, and have access to the book, Hello, Red Fox, by Eric Carle.

Far more than just a series of gang-buster art projects, these classes involve history, analysis and evaluation relating to art and artists that can be transferred to other areas of the curriculum as well as to life outside of school. For the teacher, learning by doing is the thrust to successful completion of the courses.
You will:
- Create images in the style of some of the great modern artists
- Critique works of art
- In journal form, relate art to yourself and the world around you.

After registering for courses, allow 48 business hours and then your course instructions will be available through this website. Log in to our website by using your e-mail address and password. Go to MY ACCOUNT and the course instructions will be there for you to download and print. Please allow 48 business hours for this access. PLEASE NOTE THAT COURSE INSTRUCTIONS ARE APPROXIMATELY 50-60 PAGES AND CAN TAKE SOME TIME TO PRINT OUT, DEPENDING ON YOUR PRINTER.
